Australia and Samoa meet in the second Rugby League World Cup 2026 semi-final at Allianz Stadium in Sydney, in a rematch of the 2021 final, which Australia won 30–10. The defending champions won all three Pool A matches, beating New Zealand 24–22, Fiji 36–22 and the Cook Islands 66–6. Samoa beat France 78–4 and Papua New Guinea 64–6, then lost 20–18 to Tonga and qualified second from the combined Pool B and C table. The winner plays New Zealand or Tonga in the final at Suncorp Stadium on 15 November.
